EverClip 2 - Clip everything to Evernote App Reviews

No background clipping after iOS 9

The ability to automatically save content copied from other apps while Everclip is running in the background is a feature broken by iOS 9 new rules. The developer could have warned about this in the description but didnt. If you already bought it and are disappointed because of this, know you can get a refund from Apple.

crashes constantly

The idea of this app is really good. But for the first note I wanted to create, I copied some pictures from a webpage which forced the app to crash. The image is stored by the app now and everytime I start the app it loads the picture and crashes again. Now I need to reinstall the app to use it again. Of course this doesnt remove the problem only, but the complete note I created. An app can crash once in a time, but missing error handling on reading data is a simple beginner mistake in programming. For 2,49€ I would expect more quality. Like this the app is useless for me.

Bad Update 2.0.1

Instead bugfixes, the update makes it unpossible to clip web pages anymore.

English: Once, it was the best app and add-on to Evernote, an ingenious tool helping to make notices, save texts etc. Since the introduction of iOS 9, it doesnt work proper. Once upon a time, the developers announced an update / bug fix. But I am now waiting since the introduction of iOS 9 and thats too long for a productivity tool.

Close to perfect

TextExpander support would push it to the top; otherwise a tool in the finest sense of the word.

Dont waste your money

Important functionality that exists in Everclip has been REMOVED from this "update." It completely breaks how I use the app, and its not worth the 60% price that I paid. If youre considering buying this, be very wary - you might find that your current workflow cannot be accommodated. BEFORE installing it: be sure you have a backup of the install file for Everclip, so you can revert to it if need be (the devs force you to delete that before you open EverClip 2, so you need to take steps to be sure youre able to downgrade). Ive requested a refund from Apple, and that request has been granted. And the original EverClip has been reinstalled on my iPad.

Not very functional

The only advantage to this new version is that there is no time limit. However, you cannot: - group clips into one note - add a picture such as a screenshot - add a text note - sort the order that you want clips added (you have to manually import one clip at a time) Well done and polished app, but missing key functionality.

Works well with Flipboard

Im a big user of Flipboard. Storing articles into Evernote is really easy. I click on "copy link" in the Flipboard options and the article is automatically copied to Everclip. The new editing features are great to enter additional comments before sending off to Evernote. I like the fact that my EN Notebooks are displayed in Everclip. Existing tags show up at the bottom as you key in the first few letters.

Non stop crashes

After updating its even worse, now its crashing on launch every single time!! Fix this! Thank you!

Records 1 in every 15 items copied

Youre luck if you get anything recorded in this app. Itll maybe record the first thing u copy and if your lucky the second item, but after that it randomly chooses whether to record or not and most times than not it NOT. It was tooted as really great and for $11.99 I thought itd be worth it but INSTEAD its useless. I sent an email to support 4 days ago and I havent heard anything. I just sent another email requesting a refund, and here I am disappointed not only with the app but that support couldnt get back to me in a timely manner.

It rarely ever works!!!

Out of 100 times trying to launch this app, youd be lucky if it even works one time. Crashes every single time I open the app. Please fix it!!!

Best. App. Ever.

At least the best, by far, Evernote companion app. This is a treasure. Functionally perfect, feature-packed, and easy to use. If you use Evernote you need to do yourself a favour and buy this app now.

Not worth it

Dont spend your money with this app.

Fits the bill here

Lets me easily clip content from other apps, annotate and/or edit it, and send it to Evernote in the notebook, and with tags, of my choice. It does what I need, so is worth the discounted ($3.99) price tag to me and merits my 5 stars. Mileage always varies...and, no, Im not "working for the company".

Doesnt work as well as the first version

Just doesnt seem to work well. Often doesnt include pictures from the clipping. Clipped the same site with this and the old version. Old version worked much better.

Easy to use time saver!

Love it. I got it at the steep entry price of $5.99 but it is totally worth it. Great time saver if you use Evernote. This app works exactly as advertised. Ensures you have a beautiful note of web-clipped information directly in your selected notebook (looking forward to the search option), rather than a simple web link to the site/data/article when you email into your default Evernote address/notebook. Thats all. It works, its easy, it looks great. Thank you!

Great to save from iPhone to Evernote

Love this app. There are times its formatting is not what Id like which keeps it from getting 5 stars. If they had the format options of Evernotes Web Clipper, Id add another star.

NOT worth the extra cash!! Needs work!

I paid for the old Everclip full price and I wasnt too happy with it. So when Everclip 2 came out I was happy that I had to pay once again for what I had already paid, but because I really like the idea of everclip, I went ahead an paid for Everclip 2. This app is still far from perfect and dont think is worth the money they ask. 1- the app separates the clips from the same article. This means you then have to save multiple clips individually. This mainly happens when you are clipping from other apps like Pocket or any news app. If I have to go the browser to read articles for the app to work, that defeats the whole purpose of reading on an ipad and using Everclip. I mean I could save the trouble and read from my laptop.

Improved but...

New version is definitely an improvement over the old in term of not timing out but it needs an ability to merge the clips from the same app or from different website pages into a single clip. As it stand now, only clips from the same web page are able to be grouped into a single entry which then can be exported to Evernote. Seeing as how information is now obtained more frequently through apps rather than web pages, inability to to do this is a giant minus for this app. Developers, this app does not even have to automatically parse where the information comes from, just give the user the ability to combine the clips manually. Surely it cant be that difficult to implement that feature.

Why pay for subtracting previous functions at full price?

Why did I pay full price $6.99 to have functions removed? 1) Merging multiple clips - gone 2) Inserting pics, camera roll, notes - gone I have to switch between both everclip apps to achieve the function I want. I use a third web clipper that has a different functionality as well. If I knew I could get my money back, Id go that route, but based on most of app dev.s behavior theyll either ignore or deny you. So, my only recommend is either wait for them to combine version 1.0 & 2.0 functions or find another app. The only reasons I even gave 2 stars was the ability to edit and capture the proper body of text/image selection.
